Corbyn’s Cove Beach is just 7 km away from the Central Bus Terminus at Mohanpura, Port Blair.  This beach is well known for its beauty, soft sandy shores, pleasant blue sea water, and lush coconut trees along the beach. Almost all the tourist visit Corbyn’s Cove Beach and enjoy the beach and some of them do water activities.

Corbyn’s Cove Beach – A coconut-palm fringed beach six kilometers from Port Blair, ideal for swimming and sunbathing. It has facilities like a hotel, restaurant, bar, changing room, and adventure water sports.

There are many beach activities at Corbyn’s Cove Beach. The beach offers water sports, beach walks, swimming, or relaxing on the sand. Boating, scuba diving, speed boating, parasailing, jet skiing, surfing, and many more adventurous water sports are available at Corbyn’s Cove Beach.

It is a 1 km long white sandy beach where you can stroll, sit and relax with your loved ones. You can visit nearby places if you don’t want to spend the whole day at the beach. Snake Island, said to be full of snakes, is worth a short trip with beautiful coral reefs, fishes, etc.

For the history buff, the Japanese Bunker is a treat to the eye when it comes to the beach, while the famous Cellular Jail or Kalapani Jail in India is just 7 km away from Corbyn’s Beach. This is one of the most popular and best beaches in Port Blair.

On the way to this beach, you can see historical monuments such as Japanese bunkers. Snake Island, just across the coast, is popular for scuba diving. Waves Restaurant and Beer Bar, run by the tourism department, offers delightful cuisine at reasonable prices in pleasant surroundings.

From Corbyn’s Cove, you can visit nearby places like  Cellular Jail, Samudrika Marine Naval Museum, Joggers Park, and Anthropological Museum, Chatham Saw Mill. There is no time to visit Corbyn’s Cove Beach, it is one of the few beaches that you can visit at any time of the day, any time of the year.

You can visit this beach in the winter or summer season and enjoy water sports activities and you can also come here in the rainy season. Although there are no water sports activities during monsoons, one can always enjoy the scenery and beautiful monsoon weather here.
